Superb, both technically and by the inspiration of the image.

Gorgeous print - 30 x 44?? that's amazing!

i love the image itself, too - from a drawing or photo of yours?

Again, the print is beautiful, you have great command of the tools. I'm currently an Art major w/ printmaking concentration at Castleton State College (that's in VT ^_^ ), and i rarely see pieces this well done.

bravo!

thank you so much! Yes, it is from a photograph of mine. And 30 x 44 is actually the paper size, the actual lino was only 24 x 36. I would love to do more work this size, but I no longer have access to the big gorgeous press at my undergrad (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). One day...

i really would like to know how you get the different toned of colour??? do you to different linos for each new tone???

the process is referred to as a "reductive print" because I use once piece of lino, but carve away new sections when I print each color (usually light to dark). I hope that makes some sense.

Ah, thanks for the technical point. So that's a one-piece only print...
